5/7/07: I'm producing 4 songs for an Orange County band called Take The Crown. They combine a two-guitar attack with synths, some tasteful double-bass drumming and melodic, hooky vocals.

4/9/07: The new Whole Wheat Bread record begins. I'll be heading back to Florida to produce, engineer and mix their next album which will include guest appearances from Lil Jon and Tim Armstrong--further their dive into the realms of crunk-punk. Yeeeaaahhh!!

2/10/07: Starting work with Armor For Sleep at The Mix Room in Los Angeles with producer Ben Grosse.

2/1/07: Flying out to do pre-production for the next Whole Wheat Bread album. This one will feature appearances by Tim Armstrong from Rancid and Lil Jon, "the King of Crunk." Pefect guests for a band that mixes up old-school punk rock with Dirty South crunk.

1/7/07: Recording a few more songs with the best new band out of Liverpool, Pop Levi, at Westbeach Recorders in Hollywood, CA. Look for the new version of their single that we're doing to drop soon--"Pick Me Up Buttercup."

11/15/06: Finished my new home studio!! Designed and built by Steven Klein, it's a two room writing/overdub/mixing space. I'll post photos soon. While I was at it, I got a vintage Neumann U47 microphone after extensive testing of many mics and capsules. Here comes the huge vocal sounds....

11/10/06: Looks like the 3 song demo I recorded and mixed for the band Georgia is about to net them a big-time major label deal. Congrats to the guys and producer Mike Daly!

8/20/06: Yeaaaaah!!! I'm over at Henson Studios working with Lil Jon and Whole Wheat Bread tracking ideas for Lil Jon's new album "Crunk-Rock" due out sometime next year.

7/4/06: Recording a band called Georgia, and, get this, they're from Atlanta! ;) I'm doing a 3 song demo with producer Mike Daly (former songwriter with Ryan Adams in Whiskeytown) at his studio here in Los Angeles.

5/27/06: At Stagg St. Studios in Los Angeles recording Lavender Diamond, a new band on Rough Trade Records out of the UK. They're part of the "Summer of Love 2.0" music scene as described in the New York Times, Click here to read the article.

5/13/06: At my home studio writing and recording with a band called Kazi out of Austin, Texas. We're combining classic songwriting with modern production ideas in the vein of Outkast and Radiohead. Check it out on myspace.

6/16/06: I will be moderating the "Mixing-in-the-Box" Workshop again at this year's TapeOp Conference to be held in Tuscon, AZ from June 16-18. Panelists will include John Paterno (Badly Drawn Boy, The Thrills, The Warlocks), Ross Hogarth (John Mellencamp, Melissa Etheridge, Coal Chamber), Will Shanks (from Universal Audio.)
